Camp-o-ree 2008

This year, the Camp-o-ree was April May 4-6 at NorthWest River Radio Station.  The theme was primitive camping ("even a caveman can do it"). There was an OA tap out on Saturday night's campfire. Our own Scoutmaster Ed was the "Camp Master" and a number of our adults were staff members for the weekend, but we still had a good number of boys and adults in attendance to represent Troop 14.

The boys prepared a primitive display and a gateway. They also traveled from display to display, having their "passports" signed as they investigated the displays of other troops as well as district displays. The boys also had the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt. The patrol with the highest score (comprised from the primitive display, the passpost, the gateway and the scavenger hunt) won the "Red, White and Blue ribbon". Blue, red and yellow ribbons were given to the remainder of the patrols based on their scores.
